APCE is a regional center for Ecohydrology which will research on the water cycle links with ecosystem function and carrying capacity, pollution abatement mechanisms aimed at securing sustainable water supplies for the region. Knowledge gained in these studies will be shared with water managers in the region for setting up better management plans, build functional development strategies and to maintain ecosystem services for a sustainable hydrological cycle
This Centre aims to strengthen the bonds between scientific research, application and education in the field of humid tropics hydrology and water resources.
The IRTCES promotes an international exchange of knowledge and cooperation in the study of erosion and sedimentation problems
This centre deals with water-related disasters such as floods and droughts, which are major challenges that need to be overcome in order to ensure sustainable human development and poverty alleviation.
The ICQHS promotes research, capacity-building and knowledge transfer on qanats, as well as the preservation of the cultural heritage that qanats represent.
RCUWM is a regional scientific organization on urban water management, which takes into account the climatic and other specifications of the Arab States region. It aims to promote international scientific and technical cooperation in the region.
This centre based at the K-water Institute, Republic of Korea, was unanimously endorsed in the 20th Session of the Intergovernmental Council of the IHP in 2012. The centre works to build an integrated and problem-solving research system to realize sustainable water management (especially challenges faced by developing countries), operate case-/field-oriented education & training programs based on the needs of participating countries and develop a globally networked hub for sharing water information, thereby enhancing global scientific and technological challenges.
